The Engineering Booster Club held its second annual Engineering Expo on November 15, 2009. It was a tremendous success, attracting over 2500 attendees, 50 universities and 43 companies. We received nothing but great reviews from the attendees, the universities, the corporations, and the speakers.
Take a look at this News article from the Dallas Morning News.
This was a good "best practice" example of how to stimulate interest in engineering and technology careers. As Booster Club president Bill Hays points out, technology drives the global economy and the demand for engineers has never been greater. Unfortunately, as this demand steadily increases, the number of engineers graduating from American universities is declining. To reverse this trend, talented young students need to be informed and excited about STEM careers.
