Exhibitors FAQs for the Coppell School of Engineering EXPO
Remember your audience - 7th through 12th graders or 13-18 year olds (mainly high school students).
Remember your #1 goal - get more students interested in pursuing an engineering degree!
What is the purpose of the EXPO?
- To showcase the capabilities and achievements of the CHS School of Engineering.
- To provide a forum for high school students to meet with Universities and Employers to discuss both academic and working careers in the field of Engineering.
- To foster an interest in engineering in younger students by exposing them to engineering in a friendly environment.
- To allow the community to see what the School of Engineering is doing to encourage community support and mentoring.
- To help raise funds for the CHS Engineering Booster Club.
Does it cost to exhibit during the EXPO?
There is no fee to either schools or businesses that exhibit. Exhibitors are responsible for all travel, hotel, and other expenses.
Who sponsors the EXPO?
The EXPO is sponsored by Coppell Engineering Booster Club.
Where is Coppell High School located?
Coppell High School is located about ten minutes North of DFW airport.

Where do we drop off our supplies?
There is a circle driveway at the exhibitors’ designated entrance that allows temporary parking and students with carts that will assist you with your materials.
Where do we park?
We will have a parking area by the front of the High School designated for exhibitors only. Signs will be posted as you drive into the school property directing you where to park.
Can we advertise our school or business?
We do offer an opportunity to advertise in the program handed out to students and parents. Costs vary based on size and colors used. Click here for more details.
How many attendees were there last year?
About 2000 students, parents and educators from schools across the DFW and North Texas area attended the 2014 EXPO.
What is the display area like?
We offer 2’ x 6’ tables and at least two chairs. A limited number of 4’ x 6’ tables are available. The exhibit area is a mix of both exhibitor booths and CHS School of Engineering projects and displays. Banners and small booth displays are permitted.
Are there power outlets at the tables and Wi-Fi access?
Yes.
How many people should I bring?
Ideally 2 to 4 per exhibit. More than 4 will be difficult to accommodate due to the size of the exhibitor tables.
What type of person should we send to represent us?
- Universities should send engineering faculty member who can answer specific questions about the department of engineering or the types of degrees and coursework offered by your school. Universities should also send students or recent alumni who can relate to students interested in engineering and can answer questions about the ins and outs of managing the coursework required to get an engineering degree.
- Businesses should send working engineers who can answer questions about work life as an engineer. Ideally, the exhibit should have information or a demonstration of an interesting project or design that will appeal to a high school student considering a career in engineering.
Will there be food at the EXPO?
Snack concessions will operate from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Who/what are the Red Jackets?
CHS is fortunate to be represented by a group of students called the “Red Jackets” who act as student ambassadors for CHS. We will assign a Red Jacket to act as your personal host during the Expo. The Red Jackets will be available to answer questions, check on their assigned exhibitors periodically, grab a drink or food when needed, and briefly fill in for the exhibitor when the exhibitor needs a short break.
