For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. Twenty CHS young women interested in Engineering are meeting weekly and the group is growing! Students attending SWE are focused on learning the new iOS application software to have an app of their own available on the App Store soon. They are also working on building a robotic dog and assisting students at the CISD middle schools. If you are interested in SWE, join them Wednesday mornings at 7:45am in the CHS Engineering Room or talk with your Engineering teacher on how to get plugged in! Engineering students are hard at work each and every day at CHS! Three more students have earned their CSWA certification. This week Laurel, Cole and Andrew have passed the exam. Way to go! That brings the total up to 7 certifications so far for the year!!
Our next General Meeting for the Engineering Booster Club is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15th in the Engineering Room at CHS. We are proposing an amendment to the Bylaws to create more flexibility in scheduling meetings. All present at the November meeting will vote on the proposed amendment. You can review the proposed amendment by following the link below.

CHS Solar Car Racing Team representatives joined Mr. Yakubovsky at the Keller Williams offices on Sandy Lake Rd in Coppell today. Keller Williams sponsors an annual Coppell Car Show at the Old Town Coppell Square to directly support the team. September 10th was the third year of the Car Show, giving the students an opportunity to showcase their work on the Solar Car team as well as local participants to show off their cars, new and old. The staff at Keller Williams, together with local sponsors, raised $2700 for the team! A check was presented to team President, MacKenzie, and Vice President, Ethan, at the meeting today. Many thanks to all whom participated in the event and supporting the Solar Car team!
